The level 3 FAQs have been updated to include the current process as at January 2026 including what to do if you are struggling to find a Chief/Ref report (and when you do and don't need one!) and how many reports a Starter/SA needs.
Your current Southern Region (ELSE) Upgrading Secretary, Sally Delgado, has put together these FAQ for those considering the move from Level 2 to 3. It is based on her practical experience of the upgrading process.
The advice has been built up following discussions with the ELSE TROG members, upgrading secretaries across England and with England Athletics (EA). It’s not meant to replace other advice but to give a bit more background and depth.
